Focal Architype SCS Fork
A FORK FOR THE FUTURE
With the introduction of the 120mm wheels with the 24r profile on 12mm bearings, I thought it would be suitable to create a reliable and rigid street fork that can fit these wheels.
With the focus of the collection being on increasing the reliability/longevity of the parts without overly increasing a parts weight. We have spent time refining this part to create a perfect blend of form and function. Many iterations of this fork were simulated to reduce concentration points without adding in additional material or impacting the design choices.
The choice to include axles and spacers that accommodate both axle types and wheel widths was a must to allow the rider to have the ability to swap and change their setups to their liking and provide the ability to experiment with different wheels.
We have chosen to use 7075-T6 aluminium due to its exceptional properties. It has granted us the ability to create a sturdy fork at a weight of 308g total with 12mm axle and compression cap.
For the compression cap, we have chosen to thread the inside of the top section of the fork tube to allow for a stronger and more resilient thread. You can expect this to never loosen up on you no matter the abuse you put it through.
With the selected fork tube length. You can expect this to fit our SCS clamp seamlessly onto decks with 100-110mm headtubes.
